Ngarunui walk

Ngarunui walk

Located opposite the Water Race track, Ngarunui Walk descends down a well-graded path with steps on the steeper sections. At the halfway point, the trail passes a former lookout (Closed due to safety) shortly after the track flattens out before arriving at the dunes of the beautiful Ngarunui Beach, with many beachgoers enjoying the sun and surf when we visited, including some up-and-coming groms enjoying surf lessons.

Allow 20 – 30 minutes for this walk.

Bryant Memorial reserve is situated 10 minutes out of Raglan. The regenerating bush was planted following the gifting of the land by the family of the founder of Bryant Children’s Home (Now a Christian Camp for Children)
The reserve, divided by the main road, Ngarunui is one of two easy, short walks.

As seen in the "can't dampen our spirits" episode on YouTube.

Getting there:

Follow Wainui Road from Raglan for approximately 10 minutes, a small car park is located on the roadside beside the former Bryant Memorial Children's home or additional parking and access to Ngarunui Track can be found in Earls Place.
