Three Sisters

When it comes to untamed nature, there is nothing quite like a west coast beach.
Located at the northern end of the White Cliffs in North Taranaki are the Three Sisters. These rock formations can be accessed via the beach at low tide from the settlement of Tongaporutu, off State Highway 3.

For a tide-friendly viewpoint, north of the village is Pilot road. From the end of Pilot Rd, it is a short walk across farmland to a clifftop vantage point, complete with a mountain backdrop on a clear day. Be careful to stay away from the edge of the fragile cliff edge for your safety.
